While some of these guys wouldn't exactly find us their "cup o' tea", we can't help our love for them.  The heart wants what the heart wants...  Whether they're displaying their genius on the catwalk, or striking a sexy pose for the camera, our crushes grow stronger each season.

Here's the list:
1.  Ralph Lauren, label by the same name.  What a Silver Fox!
2.  Tom Ford, former Gucci designer, label by the same name, photographer, director... is there anything he doesn't do? and can you believe he's turning 50 this year??  Drool-- over career and looks.
3.  Riccardo Tisci, designer for Givenchy.  So cute.
4.  Nicolas Ghesquière, designer for Balenciaga.  This is actually my true love.  He's French.  And he designs amazing clothes.  Ugh...
5.  Christophe Decarnin, designer for Balmain.  Pretty, edgy.
6.  Marc Jacobs, label by the same name and designer for Louis Vuitton.  Pretty amazed that he went from this to this.
7.  Christopher Bailey, designer for Burberry.  English accent; 'nough said.
8.  Alber Elbaz, designer for Lanvin.  We melt for a man in a bow-tie.

Thanks to the ever present paps, we have a little sneak peak at the new Lancome spokesperson, the lovely Emma Watson. We are happy to say, Hermione (and Lancôme) has done it again! Here's the list:
1.  skirt, express, layered scallop mesh skirt, $34.90
2.  jacket, topshop, black cropped pu biker, $110
3.  clutch, piperlime, steven by steven madden, $60.99
4.  pumps, aldo, peep-toe, $79.98 (on sale, hurry!)
5.  lipstick, lancôme, l'absolu rouge, $29

minnesota's version of minimalism

Minimalism is in. And to be honest, I’m not a huge fan. Anyone that knows me, knows that causal and/or simplistic dressing is not my forte. So, it may come as a surprise that this past week I had a date with a skateboarder. Yes, even I was quite shocked. I will admit that the night I met him I was dressed down.... well, for me..... I had a full length black t-shirt dress (I believe the t-shirt material negates the full length), platform heels, and some semi-gothic weapon jewelry on. He was a wonderful reminder of how much I love the whole skater boy thing. Throw on some Vans, a t-shirt, jeans, and grab your skateboard..... ok, that’s not true. Throw on some Vans, a t-shirt, jeans, and go watch some cute boys skateboard? Still not quite right. Throw on some Vans, a t-shirt, jeans, and grab a beer on a patio with friends. That’s more like it. Even better, buy your ticket to Vans Off the Wall Warped Tour. Beer, live music, skateboarders, and the great outdoors. It is still a few months away, but how can you not already be excited!?!? Anyway, here is my (temporarily forgotten) version of minimalism:

1.  t-shirt, american apparel, $22

2.  jeans, gap, $69.50 (I think bootcut looks best; skinny jeans make me feel like a 13 year old boy walking home from school...)

3.  shoes, vans, $40-$42

Beautiful Bomber

So sorry lovely readers, we have been oh-so-very busy, but don't you worry, we are back to work: putting great outfits together on a not always so great budget. Today's divine inspiration? The lovely Miss Drew Barrymore! This girl rocks to her own beat, both in life and in fashion, and how can you not find that inspiring? I am absolutely using her hair as an inspiration these days. My roots are pretty bad right now, but I just keep telling myself that Drew does it, why can't I? (Why? Because hers was probably expensive and looks a lot better.....) Anyway, we love this outfit, and plan on stealing it this Saturday when brunch turns into dinner, and then dinner turns into after dinner drinks... It is the perfect transitional 'fit. And not just for the lovely lazy days, no no, this baby will go right into spring by taking off the tights, and then right on into summer when you take off the jacket. Can't wait for that day!

Here's the list:
1.  dress, revolve clothing, bb dakota, $59
2.  scarf, urban outfitters, polka dot lace, $24
3.  biker jacket, topshop, $110
4.  shoes, aldo, $119.98 (not exactly like Drew's, but we LOVE them!)
5.  bag, topshop, satchel, $70
6.  bag, urban outfitters, $78
7.  pumps, dillards, jessica simpson, $89

9.  jacket, forever21, sequin accent, $34.80
10. tights, express, $22.50

the trend list

New York Fashion Week.  Oh, how we wish we had been there.  But we weren't.  And while we know it isn't even close to being the same, we have been stalking every single fashion website/blog for pictures.  An interesting little trend we noticed on the runways from Michael Kors to Ralph Lauren is the mini bag.  While we probably won't be rocking this one anytime soon, because, let's be honest, this is pretty impractical (would my blackberry even fit in that baby?!), we found them to be quite adorable.  Plus, kind of love the idea of wrapping the chain around my wrist so it can't be left at the bar...

Oscar Outcomes

Can we be completely honest?  We were a little underwhelmed with this year's Oscar dresses.  We kinda thought we did a better job... But, out of the night's looks, we thought the gowns below were the best:

1.  Hilary Swank: Sparkle and feathers?  Perfection.  We gushed over this Gucci Premiere gown when we saw it on the red carpet.
2. Michelle Williams: More than ever, we wish we could pull off a platinum bob.  The Blue Valentine nominee looked angelic in her Chanel Haute Couture gown.  (And she totally wore the stud version of the earrings we originally predicted for her.)
3. Hailee Steinfeld:  Perfectly age-appropriate, and definitely worthy of an Academy Award nominee, this dress by Marchesa truly made us want to run out and buy all of the ballet-inspired pieces we've been seeing this year.
4.  Mila Kunis: Not really the typical "Oscar Gown," this soft and romantic Elie Saab dress (from their Spring 2011 Couture Collection) took our breath away with its violet hue.
5.  Natalie Portman: If a dress could make a pregnant woman glow any more, it would be this one by Rodarte.  And we love the fact that things came full circle on Oscar night, seeing as though they also designed the costumes for Black Swan.
